SYSTEM 600-EF NOTE ACCEPTOR

Released in September, 2004, System 600-EF, replaced the 600-FST note acceptor used in production change machine models. The 600-EF is fully compatible with all system 600-FST machines. The System 600-EF (Expanded Features) note acceptor utilizes the latest in sensor technologies to assure our customers maximum protection against theft due to stringing or counterfeiting, while maintaining a higher bill acceptance rate over previous versions. In addition to the improved sensor technology, new features have been developed and are listed below.

  • INCREASED MEMORY allows for the System 600-EF to accept up to 64 different bill patterns. This will be increasingly important as countries release new versions of their bills, such as the newly redesigned U.S. and Canadian bills. With only a simple software change, owners will be able to quickly upgrade their change machine to accept the new currency or as new features become available.
  • PROGRAMABLE SECURITY levels allow our customers to customize the security for their location. Owners are able to set a level between zero and nine (nine being the highest level of security) for each denomination of bill accepted.
  • EXPANDED FUNCTION CPU BOARD with a more powerful microprocessor that is 50 times faster than the System 600-FST. This allows faster bill acceptance. Bill recognition time has been cut by almost two seconds!
  • IMPROVED TRACK CELL SENSOR BOARD provides improved reliability and longevity.
  • EVENT HISTORY LOG records up to 50 service events such as sold out conditions, stacker full, or any of a complete listing of diagnostic error messages. This allows the owner to track error occurrences to better diagnose or anticipate servicing requirements.
  • FLASH STICK MEMORY DEVICE for quick and easy software upgrades. The flash port is easily accessable by removing the back panel. Simply insert the small flash stick - wait for the LED light to stop blinking and remove.
  • NEW CUSTOMER SELECTABLE ONE-, TWO- and FOUR-WAY BILL ACCEPTANCE (programs will be released when available via Flash Stick memory upgrade).
  • AUTOMATIC CALIBRATION allows the owner a quick and easy method to maximize the bill acceptance rate. Simply initiate the auto-calibration mode through the keyboard or data terminal, and insert a new calibration card. With no adjustment necessary, the acceptor calibrates itself and rejects the card within seconds when finished.
  • ENHANCED AUDIT feature, when used with a data terminal, totals the dollar amount of all coins accepted as well as all total monies accepted. In addition, all accepted bills are counted by denomination. Also, a separate Last-In-Bill audit records and automatically updates the last twenty bills accepted.

DATA TERMINAL

Standard Change-Makers has developed a hand held Data Terminal which replaces the original programming keyboard included as standard equipment in all change machines utilizing System 500 and 500E note acceptors. All 500E machines manufactured as of January 1997, including all System 600 machines, incorporates this new device. This new Data Terminal provides unmatched flexibility in change machines built today. This device uses a series of menus to help you to customize the operation of your machine.

> Although not fully compatible with change machines manufactured before January of 1997, older 500 and 500E machines can be modified to support this new enhancement. By having a factory service center upgrade your older system acceptor with an enhanced CPU and interface board modification, you to can enjoy all the features listed below.

  • *Set your own Personal Identification Number (PIN) for access.
  • *Change your personal PIN number.
  • Determine which denominations of bills you want to accept.
  • Determine the amount of change you want to dispense.
  • Accumulate to specified amount before dispensing.
  • Program where the bills are to be stacked in a multi-compartment stacker.
  • *Program your machine to transfer hopper payouts in the event of a hopper malfunction.
  • *Disconnect power to the coin hoppers when not in use (jackpot protection).
  • *Display a sequential listing of the last 20 bills accepted.
  • *View a listing of the 'errors' or 'problems' your machine has encountered.
